I read a book called The Maker’s Diet (book) about a year ago and never really changed any habbits. But after gaining 45lbs last year – I decided to take the plunge. 8 days in, I’m down 12lbs and feeling great!! Eating Healthy organic foods, has really made a difference in the way I feel. I’m sure cutting out sugar has helped too!

The Makers Diet (website) isn’t for the faint of heart. It basically goes against the way 99% of Americans eat. Portion control, being very selective about meats (more fish and chicken less beef and pork), all organic foods, and an intense phase one with no carbs will probably scare away most people.

BTW Organic farming is usually tauted as a way to save the environment since it doesn’t pollute land – that’s why I mention this diet here.
